​​Deborah Woody is a graduate of MTSU with a degree in music business, and double minors in music and mass communication with an emphasis on education.   She has taught guitar and piano for 25 years and homeschooled for 16 years.  Using her interest in all things old and also practical, she has taught both history and finance to homeschoolers and in co-ops for the last 12 years.  As a homeschooling parent, she has developed interesting ways to combine curriculums while ensuring that all her classes meet the requirements under Tennessee law.

General Description:


In the 2019-2020 school year, the Collierville Connection will be offering additional study hall periods for Connection students on Mondays and Wednesdays of each week.  These study hall periods will give the students the opportunity to study under supervision, and to meet with tutors outside of scheduled class times.  There will also be included scheduled break times for students to socialize with their classmates.

These study halls will take place on the second floor of the Collierville United Methodist Church, located at 454 West Poplar Avenue, Collierville, and will be supervised by Deborah Woody and Dan Roberts.


Sessions will be from 8:30am - 1:30pm each day.

Dan Roberts holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from CBU, and a 
BS in Design Engineering from Northwestern University. He taught math and physics in a  private Christian high school, and is also the Director of The Connection Homeschool Tutorial.  He owns The Connection Tutoring Center in East Memphis and has over 10 years experience.
