Deborah Woody is a graduate of MTSU with a degree in music business, and double minors in music and mass communication with an emphasis on education. She has taught guitar and piano for 25 years and homeschooled for 16 years. Using her interest in all things old and also practical, she has taught both history and finance to homeschoolers and in co-ops for the last 12 years. As a homeschooling parent, she has developed interesting ways to combine curriculums while ensuring that all her classes meet the requirements under Tennessee law.

Join us as we journey around the world exploring each continent in detail, learning about the people, culture, and the land that makes each one unique. We will learn the major landforms, and rivers, as well as many capitals, and tasting some international cuisine along the way!
There is a high school component which involves higher level work.
Students Who Should Take This Class:
Every student interested in learning more about world culture, history, geography, and countries should take this class. This course counts as one credit towards the two Social Studies credits required for high school graduation, or as one of the six elective credits.
Fees will cover all copies, handouts, foods, and craft supplies.
Supplies Provided by the Student:
Students provide books and will have some events where they will bring food to share with the class.
